this publishing house has been emailing flickr users asking permission to use their pics for its publications.they wont pay, just give you the credits. so some of the professional photographers in flickr didnt agree. i, on the other hand, was excited. getting your pic published plus the credits to your name is more than enough.
i am not a professional photographer, just your average employee who takes pictures from a borrowed camera during her trips to project sites. and so im really happy that a publishing house took notice of my pictures. =)
